About the organization

          Trinity College for Women (Arts and Science) located in Namakkal to Karur State Highway (NH 95), via Mohanur and Vangal.   The college is so accessible that it is just 4 kms from Namakkal town.   Our College is permanently affiliated to Periyar University, Salem and our College got 2f and 12b status from the University Grants Commission, New Delhi.   Our College is accredited with NAAC A plus grade.

          At present, our College offers 11 undergraduate courses, 7 postgraduate courses, 3 M.Phil., Research Courses and 2 Ph.D., Research Programmes.

          Now, for the academic year 2022-23, nearly 1200 female students are pursuing higher education and more or less 80 faculties working in our Institution.   

          Apart from the curriculum, our College has adopted five villages (Vagurampatti, Aniyapuram, Parali, Tholur and Pettapalayam in Namakkal District) under the scheme of Unnat Bharat Abhiyan.

          So far our College has produced more than 6000 rural first generation graduates in and around Namakkal for the past 20 years.   

Objective of the programme:-

2 day programme on  “Computer learning basic curriculum for higher secondary rural girl students in and around Namakkal district in Tamilnadu state”

Computer:-

Computers have become an essential part of life in this era of information technology.  Most of the student’s especially those from rural background do not know how to use effectively?   India’s 70% population lives in rural areas.  In Tamil Nadu state, more than 50% of people are living in rural areas.   Progress of our Country is directly proportional to growth of rural areas and people living in villages.  Namakkal district is situated in the centre of Tamil Nadu state.   Agriculture is the main occupation of most of the people in Namakkal District.   Many of the higher secondary girl students belong to agrarian families.

Significance of Computer Education

          Computers are essential for today’s competitive world.   Owing to the benefit of higher secondary rural girl students, we conduct this programme.   These programmes include the various topics like fundamentals of computer, input devices, output devices, Microsoft  word file, MS excel format, PDF, creation and usage of email, browsing of internet, utilization of social websites, etc.,  Both theory and practical classes will be conducted to them.
