The Department of Nutrition and Dietetics & Costume Design and Fashion, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal in association with Integrated Child Development Services, Namakkal District conducted a one day programme entitled “Poshan Maah 2022” (Theme – Anemia and Handwash) on 26th September 2022.
It was held in the mini seminar hall. Mr. S. Satheeshkumar, District Child Protection Officer, Namakkal district inaugurated the programme and laid a speech on the want of balanced diet for a healthy and happy life. Mr.S. Bhoopathiraja, Sidha Medical Officer, Ernapuram Primary Health Centre, Namakkal District was the special invitee. He highlighted the importance of eating natural food for good health. Mrs. P. Alagammal, Child Development Officer, Namakkal talked about the energy food for well-balanced health. We should consume small quantities of food items like sugar, salt, white flour (Maida), white rice and white potatoes for our balanced diet, she said. Mrs. S. Senthilkumar, Administrative Officer, the faculty members of Nutrition & Dietetics Mrs. R. Rupa (HOD), Mrs. P.Sri Renugadevi, Ms. P. Nagadharshini and the faculty members of Costume Design and Fashion Mrs. K. Punitha (HOD), Ms. K.P. Theepika and Mrs. B. Kavitha made arrangements.
Apart from that because of observance of Nutrition Month (September 2022), the following events were held.
