Grama Sabha Meeting
On account of World Water Day, Grama Sabha Meeting was held in the various villages of Tamil Nadu state on 22nd March 2023. Under the scheme of Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, faculties and students of Trinity College for Women, Namakkal attended the Grama Sabha meeting; it was conducted at the adopted villages of Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Scheme like Vaguramaptti, Parali, Aniyapuram, Tholur and Pettapalayam in Namakkal District.
The Presidents of villages, ward members, other village representatives and people showed their active presence throughout the discussion. From the discussion in the meeting, it was observed that the villages are facing many problems. Volunteers raised the issues of improper and irregular water supply, lack of drainage, public toilets, public transports, electricity, etc.,
Mrs. S. Hemalatha, Coordinator – UBA Cell and the representatives of UBA adopted villages Mrs. R. Navamani (Pettapalayam), Mrs. D. Prabha (Tholur), Mrs. S. Priya (Aniyapuram) and Dr. A. Latha (Parali) and Mrs.V. Gokila (Vagurampatti) took part in that Grama Sabha.
