Health Awareness Programme for school children
Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Cell of Trinity College for Women, Namakkal and in support of Alumni Forum of the College conducted a health awareness programme for the benefit of Anganwadi School Children” (அங்கன்வாடி பள்ளிக்குழந்தைகளுக்கான சுகாதார விழிப்புணர்வு நிகழ்வு) on 03rd April 2023 (Monday) at 10.30 AM. This programme was held at the premises of Mohanur Panchayat Union Primary School, Pettapalayam and Kirayur villages, Mohanur Taluk, Namakkal District.
In this regard, Mrs. R. Navamani, Representative of UBA Adopted village of Pettapalayam & HOD and Assistant Professor in Computer Science, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal was the resource person.
Undernutrition is a major public health problem in India. Our Country needs energetic people for a healthy society, she said. Apart from that she highlighted on moral science, parenting roles, good touch & bad touch and do’s and don’t to the Anganwadi children in and around Pettapalayam village.
Mrs M. Chandra & Mrs. A. Amutha, Anganwadi Teachers of Mohanur Panchayat Union Elementary School, Pettapalayam, Dr. A. Latha, Mrs. S. Priya and Mrs. D. Prabha Representatives of UBA Adopted villages of Parali, Aniyapuram and Tholur respectively also pointed out the significance of maintaining our health and the eating of nutritional food.
Being a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (75th year of India’s celebration), this programme was organized for the sake of anganwadi school children.
