Workshop on Fashion Illustration Techniques
The Department of Costume Design and Fashion, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, organised a one-day workshop entitled “Fashion Illustration Techniques” on July 28, 2023, in the CDF laboratory.
Mrs. A.P. Pavithra, Assistant Professor in Costume Design and Fashion, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, was the resource person.
The workshop was formally inaugurated by Mrs. K. Punitha, Assistant Professor and Head, Department of CDF, of the College, with a welcome address.
The resource person inspires and develops the student’s skill and ability at illustrating garments, costume design, and fashion accessories by using different mediums, particularly painting techniques. Also, she demonstrated the various topics of life head theories, fashion illustration, hair styles, fashion accessories, face features (eyes, nose, lip, ear), shading techniques and strokes, fashion figures (hand poses and leg poses), and the types of skirts on fashion figures. In the feedback session, students noted that they felt the workshop was very useful and helpful.
Ms. K.P. Theepika and Mrs. R. Shanmugapriya, Faculty of CDF, and the Faculty of Nutrition and Dietetics, Mrs. R. Rupa (HOD), Ms. P. Sri Renugadevi, and Mrs. V. Sowmiya, were also present, along with the students of costume design and fashion.
