Workshop on “Basic Baking”
The Department of Nutrition and Dietetics and Costume Design and Fashion, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, conducted a 3-day workshop entitled “Basic Baking” from August 9, 2023, to August 11, 2023. Mrs. Chandini Bala, Director and Trainee, M/s. Womea Bridal Studio Academy, 1/3, 2nd Floor, Kumaran Complex, Teppakulam St., Erode, was the resource person. These classes are aimed at complete beginners in baking and cake-making. They explained the production of various bakery cake items like vanilla cake, chocolate cake, chocolate truffle, nutella hazelnut, caramel crunch, death by chocolate, chocolate orange, chocolate mousse, cookies and cream, vanilla cream, pineapple cake, blackcurrant cake, drip cakes, ganache, and caramel preparation.
Mrs. Aruna Selvaraj, Executive Director of the College, inaugurated the workshop. Dr. M.R. Lakshiminarayanan, Principal, and Dr. Arasuprameswaran, Director-Academic of the College, offered their felicitation addresses. The faculty of Nutrition and Dietetics, Mrs. R. Rupa, Ms. P. Sri Renugadevi, and Mrs. V. Sowmiya, and the faculty members of Costume Design and Fashion, Mrs. K. Punitha, Ms. K.P. Theepika, Mrs. A.P. Pavithra, and Mrs. R. Shanmuga Priya, and all the students of these two departments actively took part.
