Students participation in the elocution competition:
The Tamil Nadu State Minorities Commission conducted a district-level elocution competition (2023) in various districts of Tamil Nadu state. On behalf of Namakkal District, this elocution competition was held on August 23, 2018 at the Namakkal Kavignar Ramalingam Government Arts College for Women, Namakkal.
Mr. K.R.N. Rajeshkumar, Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, The Honourable Minister of Forests, Mr. Ma. Mathivendan, Government of Tamil Nadu, Dr. S. Uma, District Collector, Namakkal, Mr. P. Ramalingam, MLA of Namakkal Assembly Constituency, Mr. S.T. Nedunchezhiyan, District Coordinator, Namakkal District, TN State, Mr. P.A. Siddiq, Coordinator, Namakkal District Minority Commission, Dr. M. Govindarasu, Principal, Namakkal Kavignar Ramalingam Government Arts College for Women, Namakkal, Mr. N. Murugesan, District Backward and Minority Welfare Officer, Namakkal, And Mr. V.P. Veerappan, of the Namakkal District Minority Commission were the special invitees in that elocution competition.

Subbulakshmi, Assistant Professor and Head, Department of English, NKR Government Arts College for Women, Namakkal and Dr. P. Kandasamy, Assistant Professor in Tamil, Arignar Anna Government Arts College, Namakkal were the judges of that elocution competition.

It is proudly noted that Ms. B. Bharathi, III B.A., Tamil, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, procured second prize in the elocution competition. She spoke under the title “A View of Periyar and Ambedkar’s Social Democracy பெரியாரும் அம்பேத்கரும் கண்ட சமூக ஜனநாயகம்.”
In this continuation, a felicitation function was held in the premises of St Thomas College of Arts and Science, Koyambedu, Chennai on 23.08.2023.
The Honourable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Mr. M.K. Stalin presided over the function and he conveyed his greetings to all the achievers in whole districts of Tamil Nadu state. Mr. Gingee K.S. Masthan, Honourable Minister of Minority Welfare, Non-Resident Tamils Welfare, Refugees and Evacuees & wakf board of Tamil Nadu, Mr. S. Peter Alphonse, Chairman of State Minorities Commission, Government of Tamil Nadu, Mrs. Tamilachi Thangapandian, Member of Parliament, Chennai South Constituency, Mr. Reeta Harish Thakkar, Secretary, Backward Classes, Most Backward Classes & Minorities Department, Government of Tamil Nadu also present.
On behalf of Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, a best wishes function was held on 24.08.2023. Er. K. Nallusamy, Chairman, Mrs. Aruna Selvaraj, Executive Director, Dr. M.R. Lakshiminarayanan, Principal, Dr. Arasuparameswaran, Director – Academic, the HOD’s of Tamil Dr. T.K. Anuradha, Dr. R. Savithri, The Administrative Officer Mr. N.S. Senthilkumar and faculty took part and conveyed their greetings to Ms. B. Bharathi.
