Industrial visit by the students of costume design and fashion and nutrition and dietetics
A batch of 61 students from Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, B.Sc., Costume Design & Fashion, and B.Sc., Nutrition & Dietetics, along with seven faculty members (Mrs. R. Rupa, Mrs. K. Punitha, Ms. K.P. Theepika, Mrs. A.P. Pavithra, Ms. P. Sri Renugadevi, Mrs. V. Sowmiya, and Mrs. R. Shanmugapriya) visited the textile and food industries at Tiruchengode in Namakkal district on August 24th, 2023.
They have seen the textile industry of Selvamurugan Textile Mills (sizing, warping, and handloom units) in the weavers colony in Tiruchengode.
The employees of Selvamurugan Textile Mills gave a demonstration of warping, sizing, winding, preparation of sizing liquid creeding, after sizing with the boiler, drying, weaving of dhoti with advanced technology, and so on.
In addition, they viewed the food industry of M/s. Lakshmi Traditional Snacks, Andipalayam, Tiruchengode. They watched the food industry and the manufacturing of cookies, groundnut chocolate, honey chocolate, breadmaking, rusk making, and biscuits. On behalf of the management of Trinity College for Women, one special bus has been arranged for all the participants.
