Celebration of Teachers Day, Students Union Inauguration, and the Tamil Association Inauguration

Dr. S. Uma, District Collector, Namakkal, inaugurated the student’s union, the Tamil Literary Association, and also participated in the celebration of Teachers Day, held on September 5, 2023, in the Trinity Auditorium, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal.

On behalf of Trinity College for Women (Arts & Science), Namakkal, the student union inauguration, the commencement of the Tamil Literary Association, and the teacher’s day celebrations were held on the college campus.

Dr. S. Uma, District Collector, Namakkal, was the special invitee. When I completed my medical degree in 1995, I was doing my teaching profession at Government Medical College, Tirunelveli. This teaching job was very satisfying for me. After that, I engaged in my duty in the health sector of the Government of Tamil Nadu. Teaching professions have always satisfied my mind. Teaching is a work of service. Teachers have the power to make this society powerful. The relationship between teacher and student is sacred. We must obey the teacher’s instructions, she said. 

 The faculty members, Dr. M. Sasikala (Commerce), Dr. R. Savithri (Tamil), and Mrs. S. Bhuvaneswari (Computer Science), were honoured by the district collector for their excellent service to our institution for more than 15 years.

Er. K. Nallusamy, Chairman, presided over the programme. Er. S. Selvaraj, Secretary, and Mrs. Aruna Selvaraj, Executive Director, offered their felicitation addresses. Dr. M.R. Lakshiminarayanan, principal, welcomed the gathering. Dr. Arasuparameswaran, Director, Academic, introduced the chief guest.

Dr. R. Kulandaivel, President, Trinity Academy Matric Higher Secondary School, Namakkal, pointed out the role of teachers in our society’s development. Each and every faculty member should update their knowledge day by day. Innovation and teaching techniques are needed for the teaching profession at present, he urged.

The HODs of various departments, Mrs. R. Navamani, Dr. N. Elamathi, Dr. T.K. Anuradha, Dr. N. Santhi, Mrs. N. Thangamani, Dr. B. Lakshmi, Mrs. G. Kannagi, Mrs. B. Lena, Mrs. R. Rupa, the Physical Director, Mrs. V. Archana, the Librarian, Dr. M. Selvi, and Mr. N.S. Senthilkumar, Administrative Officer, were also present. All the students and faculty members took part in that programme.
