My story: a motivational session by a successful entrepreneur
Under the auspices of the Institutions Innovation Council, with the support of the departments of Costume Design & Fashion and Nutrition & Dietetics, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, conducted a programme entitled ‘My Story: A Motivational Speech by a Successful Entrepreneur” on November 23, 2023, for the benefit of students at our college.
The theme of the workshop was to inspire the students and educate them about the significance of entrepreneurship.
Objectives of the Event
1. To motivate the students to think in the direction of startups as career opportunities
2. To encourage students to be self-driven
3. To inspire students to pursue their ideas
4. To learn about the merits and challenges of innovation and product design.
Mr. T. Shyam Balaji, Chief Executive Officer, Vedha Oil Corporation & Vedha Transports and General Manager, Gowri Printing Press, Tiruchengode, Namakkal District, delivered the topic entitled “Nurturing budding entrepreneurs and innovations”.
Mr. T. Shyam Balaji is one of the leading young entrepreneurs. He started the business in the places of Tiruchengode and Vellore (Sathuvachari). Under his leadership, various businesses, like oil products, printing technology, transport, etc., are functioning.
His speech was particularly beneficial to all of the students who attended. Also, he shared his better and worse experiences in his entrepreneurial journey.
Dr. M.R. Lakshiminarayanan, Principal presided over the programme. Dr. Arasuparameswaran, Director – Academic offered his felicitation address.
Mrs. A. Vijayasarathi, Coordinator – Institution Innovation Council, the faculty of Costume Design and Fashion Mrs. K. Punitha, Ms. K.P. Theepika, Mrs. A.P. Pavithra, Mrs. R. Shanmugapriya and the faculty of Nutrition and Dietetics Mrs. R.Rupa & Ms. P. Srirenugadevi were also present on that occasion.
