Programme on “Chess Game”
The department of physical education, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, conducted an event titled “The Role of Chess for the Growth of Personal Skills” on December 19, 2023.
Dr. M.R. Lakshiminarayanan, Principal of the College inaugurated the programme.
Dr. Arasuparameswaran, Director – Academic offered the felicitation address.
Mr. M. Shankar Raman, Fide Arbiter, Salem District Chess Association Executive Member, Reddipatti, Konganapuram, Edappadi Taluk, Salem District, was the invited speaker.
Chess is called “The Game of Kings.” We play the game of chess frequently, and we can learn about its techniques. Playing chess gives us sharp focus, intelligence, and an attitude of taking success and failure with ease, he said.
Mr. V. Archana, the physical director of the college, made arrangements.
Many students interestingly participated in that event.
