Environmental Awareness Programme, Meendum Manjappai

Under the auspices of the National Service Scheme, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal conducted the environmental awareness program entitled “Meendum Manjappai” (Awareness campaign on using yellow cloth bags) on February 5, 2024, in the venue of the community hall, Thottipatti village, Vallipuram via Namakkal District. Er. K. Nallusamy, Chairman, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, said the yellow cloth bags are Eco-friendly and auspicious to our culture. But plastic materials are not biodegradable. We prefer to use cloth bags instead of plastic bags.

Dr. R. Kulandaivel, President, Trinity Academy, Er. S. Selvaraj, Secretary; Mrs. Aruna Selvaraj, Executive Director; Dr. M.R. Lakshiminarayanan, Principal; Dr. Arasuparameswaran, Director-Academic; and Mr. N.S. Senthilkumar, Administrative Officer, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, were also present.

Mrs. Bhuvaneswari Balamurugan, President; Mr. V. Palanisamy, Vice President; Mrs. K. Revathi, Village Administrative Officer; Thottipatti Mrs. V. Santhi, Head Mistress, Panchayat Union Government Middle School, Thottipatti, Namakkal Block, were the special invitees in that campaign.    

All the volunteers of National Service Scheme, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal distributed the yellow cloth bags to the people of Thottipatti, Thanneerpandal, Maniyarampudur and its surrounding villages in Namakkal Block.
