Webinar on “Food Safety”
International food safety day is celebrated on June 7 globally. On this subject, the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Cell, in the support of the department of Nutrition and Dietetics, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, conducted a webinar on “Food Safety, Protecting Life & Preserving Health” on 07th June 2024. Mrs. V. Sowmiya, Assistant Professor of Nutrition and Dietetics, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal was the special speaker. She emphasized the causative organisms and the ways to prevent food poisoning. Also, she highlighted the importance of food management. The event was held through the Google Meet. More or less 100 participants were present for the webinar, and they included outgoing students of the college also. The webinar was very informative and was well appreciated by the participants. Mrs. S. Hemalatha, Assistant Professor in Tamil and the Coordinator, Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Cell, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal proposed the vote of thanks.
