Awareness programme on “Women Empowerment”
On behalf of Trinity Women’s Forum, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal organized an awareness programme titled “The World is for You” on 10th July 2024. The Chief Educational Officer, Namakkal District, Mrs. P. Maheswari was the special invitee.
She advised the students to do good things to society and women should have a responsible position in the society. She encourages the students to write the competitive examinations organised by the Government of Tamil Nadu and Government of India with confidence. She also pointed out that, if we do so with hard work we can attain success. She quotes lines from Mahakavi Bharathi, “Pattangal Aalvadhum Sattangal saivadhum parinil pengal nadhatha vandhom” which means women have the capacity to rule the world. She also mentions Thanthai Periyar, who supports women education and believes that, women education will be good for the development of society. Like the words of all great leaders, now, women are in all the fields.
Dr. M. R. Lakshminarayanan, Principal, Dr. Arasuparameswaran, Co-ordinator of Silver Jubilee Celebrations Committee also spoke on that occasion. The Co-ordinators of Trinity Women’s Forum, Mrs. N. Thangamani, Mrs. R. Rupa and the faculty of Chemistry Ms. M. Rineesha, Ms. L.K. Priyadharshini along with 200 students took part.
