Industrial visit for the students of Costume Design and Fashion

The Department of Costume Design and Fashion, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, organized an industrial visit to KKP Textiles (P) Ltd., Salem Road, Namakkal, on July 16, 2024. 39 students, along with four faculty members of CDF (Mrs. K. Punitha, Ms. K.P. Theepika, Mrs. A.P. Pavithra, and Ms. R. Saranyadevi), went on an industrial visit.

They have seen the various production units of KKP Textiles (P) Ltd., like raw material godown, process of separation of raw materials, inspection of fabric processing, cutting process of manual and computerized, stitching unit and labeling, quality checking (defects in stitching), processing and ironing, process of metal detection, product packaging and labeling, process of cloth exporting (both national and international), overview and process of computerized embroidery machine, etc.

Mr. V. Vengatesh, HR manager, KKP Group of Companies, Namakkal, has explained the various workings and functions of textile machinery and others. 

 The students’ feedback was very good. It was an advantageous visit for the students of Costume Design and Fashion as they interacted with staff members of KKP Textiles and gained practical knowledge about garment production, right from the fabric to finished products.
