Programme on Employability Skills and Soft Skills
The Placement Cell, Internal Quality Assurance Cell and Institution’s Innovation Council, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal and GTT Foundation, supported by Barclays, Pune, Maharashtra, jointly conducted a five -day programme titled “Success of interview techniques and soft skills” from 29th July 2024 to 02nd August 2024 in the College campus.
Mr. Kathiresan Perumal, Corporate Trainer & Mrs. M. Sharmilee Dave, Soft Skill Trainer, GTT Foundation were the resource persons.
Employability skills and soft skills are very essential for job-seekers as well as job creators. Today’s world is competitive. Plenty of job opportunities are available in the industries of the service sector, manufacturing sectors and production sectors. Unfortunately, the current university syllabi of our students are not enough for immediate employment. Training and internships are needed for them, they denoted. Also, they elaborated employability skills like teamwork & collaboration, critical thinking, problem-solving, oral and written communication skills, language skills, professionalism, story work ethics and leadership.
Apart from that, the resource persons pointed out the essentials of soft skills such as team work, time management, decision-making, stress management, conflict management, persuasion, adaptability, etc.,
