One day workshop on “A guide to Men’s tailoring”
The Department of Costume Design & Fashion Design, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal organized a one day workshop entitled “A guide to men’s tailoring” on 19th August 2024. It was held in the venue of the CDF Laboratory.
Mrs. Aruna Selvaraj, Executive Director, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal inaugurated the programme.
Mr. P. Kandhasamy, Manager, New Modern Tailors, 7/141, Tiruchengode Road, Nallipalayam, Namakkal, was the resource person.
He explained the history of tailoring, overview of men’s tailoring, significance of modern tailoring techniques, essential tailoring tools and equipment, body measurement and their importance, usage of innovation in the readymade dresses, operation of advanced power tailoring machines, correct methodology of finishing the products, etc.,
This workshop was arranged by the faculty of CDF Mrs. K. Punitha (Head), the Assistant Professors of CDF Ms. K.P. Theepika, Mrs. A.P. Pavithra and Ms.R. Saranyadevi.
