Programme on Journalism and Media Club
The Journalism and Media Club, Department of English, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal conducted a programme titled “Tips and Tricks in digital media literacy” on 27th September 2024. It was held in the mini-seminar hall of the college.
Ms. R. Sruthi, second year M.A., English of the College welcomed the gathering. Mr. K.M. Saravanan, Lead Programme Executive – Fiction, Star Vijay, Chennai, was the special invitee. He brought out various job opportunities available in the fields of journalism, production, entertainment, writing and editing, advertising and marketing, public relations, etc., Also, he briefly elucidated the role of various forms of media like television, radio, newspapers, journals, publications, the internet and the other media for employment opportunities, especially young people.
The Senior Actress and drama dialogue writer Mrs. Mithra Saravanan spoke about the important role of women in the media industry. Mrs. Aruna Selvaraj, Executive Director, Dr. M.R. Lakshiminarayanan, Principal, Dr. Arasuparameswaran, Coordinator – Silver Jubilee Celebrations, Mrs. L. Deepika, HOD incharge, the faculty of English Mrs. M. Saranya, Dr. K. Gowrimala, Mrs. S. Gayathri, Mrs. N. Geetha and Ms. S. Kavya as well as the students of English took part in that programme .
