Observation of National Education Day
National Education Day (11th November) was observed to commemorate the birth anniversary of former education Minister of India, Bharat Ratna, Shri. Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, a great educationist, who is known for making significant contributions in the field of education.
On account of National Education Day, Institutions Innovation Council (IIC), Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Cell (UBA Cell) of Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, jointly conducted a programme on 11th November 2024.
On this subject, Dr. R. Navamani, Vice-Principal & Assistant Professor and Head, Department of Undergraduate Computer Science & Computer Applications, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, delivered the topic entitled “Education for All” (அனைவருக்கும் கல்வி).
She said that Maulana Abul Kalam Azad’s contribution is remarkable to the reconstruction of the modern education system. Also, she highlighted Azad’s major role in the establishment of the University Grants Commission, which is the regulatory body for all higher educational institutions in India. He was also responsible for starting the first IIT (Indian Institute of Technology), Kharagpur, West Bengal state in the country, she pointed out. A ten – minute documentary film related to Shri. Moulana Abul Kalam Azad’s was screened for the students.
Dr. N.Elamathi, Coordinator, IQAC, Dr A. Vijayasarathi, Coordinator, IIC and Mrs. S. Hemalatha, Coordinator, UBA Cell made arrangements.
More or less 100 students took part.
