The NSS students of Trinity College for Women, Namakkal took a pledge to fight drug abuse. They observed International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking on their campus on 11th August 2022.
Mr. S.P. Sai Saran Thejaswee, Superintendent of Police, Namakkal district was the chief guest. He said, “Drugs not only cause health issues but over and above that land one in trouble”. The drug can cause serious repercussions like cancer and students should keep themselves away from drugs.
Mr. R. Sekar, Additional Superintendent of Police, Namakkal District, Mr. S. Suresh, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Namakkal Division, Mr. K. Sankarapandian, Inspector of Police, Namakkal Town, Mr. P.K. Sengodan,Chairman of the College, Er. K. Nallusamy, Secretary, Dr. M.R. Lakshiminarayanan, Principal, Dr. Arasuparameswaran, Director – Academic, The NSS Programme Officers Dr. M. Sasikala & Mrs. S. Jayamathi, The Administrative Officer Mr. N.S. Senthilkumar and Mrs. V. Archana, Directress of Physical Education participated in that programme.
All the NSS volunteers took a pledge against drug abusement. This programme was organized by the Department of Police, Namakkal District and The National Service Scheme of Trinity College for Women, Namakkal.
