Felicitation to Ms. S. Bahirathi for her achievement in chess competition
The DC Bank of Karur conducted a one day Tamil Nadu State Level Children Chess Tournament on 22.01.2023. It was held in the premises of VNC Mahal, Coimbatore Road, Karur. Many players from various districts of Tamil Nadu actively took part. Ms. S. Bahirathi of second year B.Com., Computer Application of our College has got 4½ points out of 7 rounds with 10th place in the district level chess tournament under the age of 25. An appreciation certificate was given by Mr. IA Anandh Babu, VL, Chief Arbiter, Live Games Incharges, 44th chess olympiad, Mr. M. Mohammad Kamaldeen, Karur Vilaiyattu Murasu, Karur, Mr. K. Pugazhenthi, Secretary, Kasparov Chess Academy, Karur, Mr. Ephrald Simon, Branch Head – DCB, Branch Head, Karur and Kautilya Ranganath – Cluster Head, DCB Bank Ltd., Karur.
Apart from that, M/s. Alamelu Bharath Nanbarkal Kuzhu and M/s. Namakkal District Chess Foundation (Affiliated to TNSCA – Tamil Nadu State Chess Association) jointly organized a Namakkal District Level Chess Tournament on 29.01.2023. This tournament was held in the premises of Cheran Polytechnic College, Taj Nagar, SPB Colony, Pallipalayam, Namakkal District. Ms. K. Bahirathi, II B.Com., CA of our College has obtained 3 points out of 5 rounds with 10th place in the Namakkal district level chess tournament under open category level. Mr. Devendran, Senior National Arbiter, Mr. S. Parameswaran, Secretary, Mr. P. Prabhu, President, Mr. S. Gunasekaran, Secretary, Rts. Dr. V.S. Ramesh, President, Namakkal District Chess Foundation gave an appreciation certificate and prizes to her.
In continuation with, a felicitation function was held on 30.01.2023 in the premises of Trinity College for Women, Namakkal. Mrs. Aruna Selvaraj, Executive Director presided over the function and she conveyed her greetings to her. Dr. M.R. Lakshiminarayanan, Principal, Dr. Arasuparameswaran, Director – Academic, Mrs. V. Archana, Directress of Physical Education, Dr. M. Sasikala, AP & HOD of Commerce and Mr. N.S. Senthilkumar, Administrative Officer of the College took part.
