Meri Maati Mera Desh Programme

As part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, under the auspices of Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Cell, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, and Nehru Yuvakendra, Namakkal jointly celebrated the “Meri Maati Mera Desh” campaign, an idea to observe India’s soil and valour, at the college campus on December 21, 2023.

The event commenced with a welcome speech by the Principal, Dr. M.R. Lakshiminarayanan.

The Director, Academic Dr. Arasuparameswaran, briefed the students about the significance of the event and the role of the young minds in this endeavour. 

All faculty and students of the college enthusiastically participated in the event.

In addition, on behalf of Nehru Yuvakendra, 50 T-shirts (containing the words “Meri Maati Mera Desh”) were distributed to the participants. 

Apart from that, a tree plantation programme was held on that occasion. More than 20 tree saplings were planted on the college campus. Mr. R.S. Arun, Multi Tasking Staff, and Mr. S. Karthik, National Youth Volunteer, Sendamangalam, Namakkal district, also took part.

The overall proceedings of the event were conducted by Mrs. V. Archana, Director of Physical Education of the College.
