Awareness Programme on Save the Environment – 2019
On behalf of YRC (Youth Red Cross), RRC (Red Ribbon Club), National Service Scheme (NSS) and Citizen Consumer Club (CCC), Trinity College for Women (Arts and Science), Namakkal conducted a one day awareness programme entitled “Save the Environment” on 3rd July 2019 in the College campus.
Dr. R. Kanchana, IFS, District Forest Officer, Namakkal was the chief guest.
She highlighted the significance of tree plantation while said that to overcome environment pollution in the country. Pollution is a dire need of the hour, she said.
Keralites are planted more trees in their vacant plots. They give more importance for tree saplings. Owing to more trees, they get additional rain in monsoon period, she pointed out. Tree saplings plantation was held in the College premises. Mrs. Kanchana was also present on the occasion and applauded the efforts and explained the preponderance of tree plantation to student’s community.

Manoharan, Director – Training and Placement, The Programme Co-ordinators Dr. N. Elamathi, Mrs. S. Jayamathi, Mr. N.S. Senthilkumar, The Director of Physical Education Mrs. A. Nithya and Mrs. R. Navamani, Member Senate, Periyar University/AP in Computer Science spoke on that occasion. More than 350 students took part in that occasion.
