Dr. T.K. Anuradha, Assistant Professor and Head, Department of Postgraduate and Research Tamil, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, has obtained the award of “Elakkiya Sirpi” – இலக்கிய சிற்பி (Literary Sculptor) on October 28, 2023. This award was given by the All India Tamil Association (அகில இந்திய தமிழ்ச் சங்கம்).
The full details are as follows:
On account of the centenary birth anniversary celebrations of Dr. Kalaignar M. Karunanithi, former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, the book release function of Kavignar Poovai Sarathi (who wrote a book with the title “Mudhalvar Thavaputhalvan”), and the honorary function of achievers of Tamil scholars, this programme was held at the premises of Besant Hall (opposite: Jupiter Theatre, Anna Salai, Keezha Vasal) in Thanjavur.
Tamil Chemmal Manur Mr. Pughazendran, President of the All India Tamil Association, presided over the programme.
The honourable mayor of Thanjavur Municipal Corporation, Mr. S. Ramanathan, Tamil Kadal “Ilakkiya Maamani,” Mr. R. Kaliyaperumal, and other dignitaries from various parts of Tamil Nadu participated in that honorary function.
