The Department of Tamil, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal observed the educational development day on July 15, 2024, in the seminar hall of the college. Owing to the birth anniversary of former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Kingmaker Kamarajar, this day is celebrated in Tamil Nadu state. In this regard, Dr. N. Maheshkumar, Headmaster, Government Higher Secondary School, Valayapatti, Mohanur Taluk, Namakkal District was the special invitee. He delivered the topic entitled ‘Education: Yesterday, Today, and tomorrow.” He highlighted the multifaceted personality of Kamarajar and the development made by Tamil Nadu state through it. During his regime, he allocated more than Rs. 400 crores for the benefit of the educational sector in Tamil Nadu state. He started more primary schools for economically backward students. He is called ‘King Maker’. Karmaveerar Kamarajar is always special for the people of Tamil Nadu state, he said.
Mrs. Aruna Selvaraj, Executive Director of the College presided over the programme. Dr. M.R. Lakshiminarayanan, Principal welcomed the gathering. Dr. Arasuaparameswaran, Coordinator, Silver Jubilee Celebrations Committee offered his felicitation address and introduced the chief guest. The faculty of Tamil Dr. T.K. Anuradha, Dr. R.
