Continuous Awareness programme for College Teachers – Awareness Programme on “Drugs Addiction” – 17.11.2022
The Social Defence Department under Integrated Child Protection Scheme has been functioning in 38 districts of Tamil Nadu at the District Child Protection Unit. On behalf of Namakkal district, this continuous awareness programme for College teachers was organized in the scheme of Nasha Mukt Bharat Campaign, held on 17.11.2022 in the premises of Arignar Anna Government Arts College, Namakkal. The title of the programme “Drugs changes our path” (பாதையினை மாற்றிடும் போதை). Mrs. Shreya P Singh, IAS, District Collector, Namakkal district inaugurated the programme. She highlighted the shortcomings of drug usage. Mr. Sai Saran Thejaswi, IPS, District Superintendent of Police, Namakkal, Mrs. P.K.Geetha, District Social Welfare Officer, Namakkal and Mr. S.Satheeshkumar, District Children Protection Officer, Namakkal spoke on the theme of “Life is a precious gift, don’t waste it on drugs” (வாழ்க்கை ஒரு விலைமதிப்பற்ற பரிசு, அதை போதைப் பொருட்களில் வீணாக்காதீர்கள்). Prof. M. Kumaravelu, Principal of the College welcomed the gathering. Dr. E.G. Wesley, YRC Programme Officer of the College proposed the vote of thanks. Dr. D. Barathi, Principal I/c of Namakkal Kavignar Ramalingam Government Arts College for Women, Namakkal also took part.
On behalf of Trinity College for Women, Namakkal the coordinators of Anti Drug Club Mrs. S. Jayanthi and Mrs. K. Amutha participated in that drug awareness programme.
