FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME ON “TOWARDS…..EXCELLENCE

The Institution Innovation Council, in association with Internal Quality Assurance Cell, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal organized a faculty development programme under the title of “Towards ….. Excellence” (உயர்வை நோக்கி) on 08.06.2023.

Faculty is the backbone of each and every educational institution, and their growth is an essential element of the student’s successful development.  In this regard, The Institution Innovation Council, in association with Internal Quality Assurance Cell, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal organized a faculty development programme under the title of “Towards ….. Excellence” (உயர்வை நோக்கி) on 08.06.2023 & 09.06.2023.

  It was held in the Trinity Auditorium.    Principal Dr. M.R. Lakshiminarayanan, in his address, extended a very warm welcome to the dignitaries.  

 Er. K. Nallusamy, Secretary of the College presided over the programme.   He enlightened the forum about the significance of a staff development programme and further said that this programme will give an opportunity to the participants to improve and ameliorate their realm of skill & knowledge and to interact with like-minded people.  

 Dr. Arasuparameswaran, Director – Academic delivered the felicitation address.  

Mr. Pratap Sethu, Motivational Speaker & Founder, Win Win Consultancy, Madurai was the invited speaker.

 The programme covered topics like self analysis, a teacher or a felicitator, generations and learning styles, group dynamism and working in a team, leadership styles, modern teaching techniques, overcoming stress, a role model, etc.,   

Another resource person was Mr. Balamohan Ramaswamy, Managing Director & Faculty, Training People India; Bengaluru highlighted the importance of yoga and meditation for reduction of stress, of the faculty.  

Mrs. R. Navamani, Assistant Professor and Head, Department of UG Computer Science, Mrs. S. Jayamathi, Assistant Professor in Tamil, Mrs. S. Mohanapriya, Assistant Professor in Physics, Mrs. J. Evangelin, Mrs. K. Gowrimala & Dr. K. Keerthana, Faculty of English pointed out the advantages of this faculty development programme in the feedback session.  All the faculty of Trinity College for Women, Namakkal benefited through this faculty development programme. 

 Mrs. M. Rajapadmavathi, Assistant Professor in Commerce of the College proposed the vote of thanks.
