For the academic year 2024-2025, the department of English, Trinity College for Women (Arts and Science), Namakkal conducted a one-week English Bridge Course from 05th July 2024 to 12th July 2024.

English Bridge course for first year undergraduate students

          The first step is the English Bridge Course, which is organized at the start of every academic year by the department of English.  

For the academic year 2024-2025, the department of English, Trinity College for Women (Arts and Science), Namakkal conducted a one-week English Bridge Course from 05th July 2024 to 12th July 2024.    

The title of the English Bridge course –Bridge Course – English Proficiency Unlocked

 In this regard, the inauguration function was held on 05th July 2024 in the College seminar hall.    Mrs. Aruna Selvaraj, Executive Director, presided over the programme.  Dr. M.R. Lakshiminarayanan, Principal, welcomed the gathering.   Dr. Arasuparameswaran, Coordinator – Silver Jubilee Celebrations Committee offered the felicitation address.

The faculty of English, Mrs. L. Deepika, Mrs. A. Revathi, Ms. M. Rekha, Mrs. M. Saranya, Dr. K. Gowrimala, Mrs. S. Gayathri, Mrs. P. Abirami, Ms. R. Midhuna, and Mrs. N. Geetha, handled the classes to them.

In continuation, the valedictory function was held on July 12, 2024, on the college campus. Er. K. Nallusamy, Chairman of the College, presided over the program.  He highlighted the significance of the English language for our international level communication purposes. 

 All the first-year undergraduate students have benefited from this program.  In addition, English communication games were also conducted for the first-year students.   Er. K. Nallusamy, Chairman, gave away prizes to the winners of that game. 

Student’s Feedback

I completed my plus two at Government Adi Dravidar Welfare Higher Secondary School, Kalangani, Namakkal District, through Tamil medium.  Basically, I belong to a rural area. This one-week bridge course helped us to get basic practical knowledge of the English language,  Ms. S. Srimathi, first-year B.Sc., Nutrition & Dietetics, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, pointed out in that feedback session.
