CDF students’ industrial visit
Four faculty members (Mrs. K. Punitha, Ms. K.P. Theepika, Mrs. A.P. Pavithra, and Ms. R. Saranyadevi) along with the 36 students of Costume Design & Fashion, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, visited the Natural Glam Beauty Salon/Parlor, Salem Road, Namakkal, on July 26, 2024.
Mrs. M. Jayasudha, Director of the Company, has happily invited all. She explained the various parlor activities, such as parlor management, how to do bleaching, facials, threading, hair cutting, hair coloring and styling, waxing, tips for glowing skin, pedicures and manicures, bridal and party makeup demonstrations, equipment used in parlors, and their uses.
Besides that, they have seen the powerloom weaving unit at Marurpatti in Namakkal. This industry is owned by Mr. M. Thangarasu, father of Ms. T. Monika (a former CDF student in the batch of 2020-2023 and also a third rank holder at Trinity College for Women, Namakkal). She warmly invited all the faculty members as well as her juniors. She elucidated the production of bedsheets and towels through their industry’s powerloom.
Also, she explained the workings of the powerloom, process, twill weave process, machineries working mechanism, etc.
