Educational Tour for the Students of Physics
The Department of Physics, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, had organized an educational tour to Ooty from March 1 to March 2 to various tourist spots to provide its faculty members and students with learning and enriching experience. The tour was being planned and coordinated through a private tour operating agency. The 32 students from B.Sc., Physics, and M.Sc., Physics were accompanied by the faculty members of Physics Dr. B. Lakshmi, Mrs. B. Kavitha, and Mrs. S. Mohanapriya. The bus journey from Namakkal via Tiruchengode, Erode, Perundurai, Avinashi, Annoor, Mettupalayam, and Coonoor to Ooty started at midnight on February 29, 2024.

They have seen the Dhoddabetta peak, tea factory, Chocolate factory, thread garden, rose garden, botanical garden, Ooty Lake, Deer park, and campfire.

They have looked at the shooting spot, Pykara Lake, Pykara Water Falls, pine forest, and its surrounding areas of Ooty.
