International Conference on “Global Business, Economics, Finance, and Social Sciences” on September 26, 2023

The postgraduate and research department of Commerce, Trinity College for Women (Arts and Science), Namakkal, Tamil Nadu State, India, conducted an international conference entitled “Global business, economics, finance, and social sciences” on September 26, 2023, on the college campus.

Dr. M.R. Lakshiminarayanan, principal of the college, welcomed the gathering.

Dr. Anbalagan Chinniah, Professor of Accounting and Finance and Senate Member of Samara University, College of Business and Economics, Samara University, Afar State, Ethiopia, was the chief guest.

Individual development is the growth of the country. India is growing very fast on a global level. All the countries in the world are looking at India’s activities. A female, Mrs. Draupathi Murmu, is the president of India. Likewise, the president of Ethiopia, Ms. Sahle Work Zewda, is also a female. Now, many women have come to the power of leadership, and they are well settled in their positions. Due to women’s empowerment, India is growing rapidly. Owing to liberalisation, globalisation, and privatization,  trade, commerce, education, and culture are continuously growing at the global level. If we use skill development better, we can achieve more, he said.

Dr. C. Paramasivan, Associate Professor and Research Supervisor, Postgraduate Research Department of Commerce, Thanthai Periyar Government Arts & Science College (Autonomous), Trichirapplli, was the special invitee. Society development, economic development, and environmental development are the country’s growth. Many women use their personality skills in various fields to bring pride to the home and our society, he said.

Mr. D. Chandrasekaran, former faculty of commerce at Arignar Anna Government Arts College, Cheyyar, Thiruvannamalai District, said in his felicitation address that many people who have studied commerce-related subjects are doing entrepreneurship today.

Mrs. Aruna Selvaraj, Executive Director, said in her address that most of the people who have studied economics, commerce, and business administration are achieving at the global level.

Dr. S. Subadra, Associate Professor in Commerce, Thiruvalluvar Government Arts College, Rasipuram, highlighted the importance of conducting national and international-level seminars to update the recent trends in the subjects.

The faculty of commerce, Dr. M. Sasikala, Mrs. G. Nithya, Dr. S. Devi, Mrs. M. Rajapadmavathi, Mrs. G. Kokila, Mrs. A. Rajeswari, Ms. L. Keerthi, Ms. P. Madhupriya, Ms. P. Dhanushya, and Mr. N.S. Senthilkumar, Administrative Officer, made arrangements.

More than 100 faculty, research scholars, and students of various colleges have presented their research articles under the titles E-Commerce, Digital India, Global Warming, Liberalisation, Globalisation, Privatisation, Agriculture, Online Shopping, Human Resource Management, Goods and Services Tax, Internet Banking, Business Ethics, Women Empowerment, Organic Foods, Information Technology, Entrepreneurships, Rural Development, Health Care, Mutual Fund, Forensic Science, Real Estate, etc.

The students of Commerce (B.Com., B.Com., CA, and M.Com.) at the college have arranged an exhibition in front of the Trinity Auditorium (in place of indoors). They exhibited various trade and commerce-related articles and things like Indian coins, foreign coins, old Indian rupee notes, online marketing, aids to trade, paper industry, marketing mix, sugar factory, trini trends (textile showroom), types of insurance, commerce city, and demonetization. More than 1200 students took part in various colleges.   Er. K. Nallusamy, Chairman, said in his talk about that conference that, after the introduction of the Goods and Service Tax, job opportunities have increased for Commerce students at the global level.
