NIRF 2024 Proporatory Workshop
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell of Periyar University, Salem, organised a one-day event entitled “NIRF 2024 proporatory Workshop” on October 5, 2023, in the senate hall of the university. Prof. Dr. R. Jagannathan, Honourable Vice-Chancellor of Periyar University, Salem, inaugurated the programme. Dr. T. Poongodi Vijayakumar, Professor and Head, Department of Food Science and Nutrition, Periyar University, Salem, spoke on the topic titled “Getting Ready for the NIRF 2024″ Dr. V. Yoganandan, Director, IQAC of the University, welcomed the gathering. Dr. K. Thangavel, Registrar (FAC), Periyar University, proposed the vote of thanks.
On behalf of Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, Dr. S. Anidha, Assistant Professor in Chemistry and NIRF Coordinator, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, took part.
All the resource persons have explained the NIRF ranking parameters of higher education, like teaching, learning and resources, research and professional practices, graduate outcome, outreach, exclusivity, and perception. The NIRf ranking promotes healthy challenges among different institutions to enhance their functioning and other aspects so as to obtain a spot in this ranking. Also, the NIRF ranking helps students who are going to pursue undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in choosing the best college, as the resource persons pointed out.
