Book Fair Cum Exhibition – 10th and 11th August 2023.
On account of “Celebration of National Librarian Day” (the birth anniversary of Dr. S.R. Ranganathan, Father of Library and Information Science), the department of library at Trinity College for Women, (Arts and Science) Namakkal, conducted a “Book Fair Cum Exhibition” on 10th August and 11th August 2023. It was held on the premises of the seminar hall.
Mrs. S. Thenmozhi, District Library Officer (I/c), Namakkal District, inaugurated the book fair. The library is like our assets. We should read good books. People who study a lot of good books will occupy a great position in our society, she said.
In this book fair Mrs. R. Santhi, Librarian, Velur Library, Namakkal Dt, Mrs. K. Chithra Poonam, Librarian (First Grade), District Central Library, Namakkal, Mrs. P. Ramani, Librarian, Pandamangalam, Namakkal District, Mr. M. Karthikeyan, Librarian, Navani Thottakkoorpatti and Mrs. Ba. Sathiyapriya, Librarian, Nanjai Edaiyar, Namakkal District also took part.
Mrs. Aruna Selvaraj, Executive Director, Dr. M.R. Lakshiminarayanan, Principal and Dr. Arasuparameswaran, Director – Academic also were present. Dr. M. Selvi, Librarian, Mrs. P. Sathiya, Assistant Librarian & Mr. N.S. Senthilkumar, Administrative Officer of the College made arrangements. M/s. Sri Annamalaiyar Book House, Sivakasi, M/s. Balaji Book House, Chennai and some of the book companies exhibited their books. Many staff and the students eagerly purchased their subject, general knowledge books, communication skills and soft skills related books.
