Observation of world Red Cross day
On account of International Red Cross Day, the youth red cross of Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, organized a virtual event on May 8, 2024.
Mrs. V. Kalaivani, Assistant Professor in Physics and Programme Officer, Youth Red Cross, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, spoke on the topic titled “160-year journey of the Red Cross from 1863 to 2023” on that day.
She highlighted the origin, history, principles, aims, objectives, functions, and activities of the Youth Red Cross for the past 16 decades. Apart from that, she explained the contribution of the founder of the Red Cross, Henry Dunant, to the growth of that service organization.
More or less 100 students took part in the video conferencing through Google Meet.
