Celebration of National Pie Day
On account of National Pie Day, The Department of Mathematics, in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal conducted a programme titled “Calculating your success strategies for CSIR – NET, GATE, IIT & JAM” on 14.03.2025.
Lt. Dr. S. Sowndarajan, Assistant Professor in Mathematics, Arignar Anna Government Arts College, Namakkal was the special invitee.
He spoke a few words about the role of Mathematics in day-to-day life and the importance of PI. He talked about how Pi is useful and its function in various mathematical calculations. Also, he elaborately explained the invention, history and interesting facts of PI day celebrations.
In addition, he gave some tips for clearing the competitive examinations, UGC-NET, CSIR – NET, TN-SET, GATE, IIT and other examinations.
Mrs. Aruna Selvaraj, Executive Director of the College presided over the programme. Dr. M. R. Lakshiminarayanan, Principal, Dr. Arasuparameswaran, Coordinator – Silver Jubilee Celebrations, Dr. B. Lena, AP & HOD of Mathematics and the faculty members of Mathematics, Dr. S. Jeyanthi, Mrs. V. Gokila, Mrs. S. Madhukaraveni, Mrs. A. Thenmozhi, Dr. S. Revathy, Ms. D.S. Vimaladevi and the Coordinator of IIC, Dr. A. Vijayasarathi, also participated in that programme. All the students of Mathematics benefited through that programme.
