Observation of international no tobacco day
On account of world no tobacco day, Anti-Drug Cell, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal conducted an online awareness programme entitled “We create a tobacco free society” (புகையிலை இல்லா சமுதாயத்தினை நாம் உருவாக்குவோம்) on 31.05.24 @ 3 PM. It was held through the platform of Google Meet.
Dr. S. Jeyanthi, Assistant Professor in Mathematics and Coordinator of Anti-Drug Cell, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal was the resource person. She spoke about the harmful consequences of tobacco consumption and its addicting effects. Also, she explained the various drawbacks of tobacco products like the usage of cigarettes, electronic cigarettes, hookahs, kreteks, etc.
Nearly 100 students took part in that virtual event.
