Workshop on “NAD”
On behalf of the National Academic Depository Cell (NAD Cell), Trinity College for Women, Namakkal conducted a one-day workshop entitled “All we need to know about digilocker: A Gateway to Guide the Digital World” on September 13, 2023.
Mrs. S. Usharani, Coordinator of NAD and Assistant Professor in Computer Science, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, was the resource person. The main aim of the workshop was a special awareness programme on NAD in order to create computer and digital awareness among the learners.
NAD is an online storehouse for academic awards like degrees, diplomas, mark sheets, and other certificates lodged by academic institutions in digital format. The ministry of human resource development has been designated under the UGC Act 1956 as an authorised body for the implementation of the National Academic Depository. It operates in an online mode, she denoted.
Also, she explained the merits, features, roles, and responsibilities of students, the importance of Aadhar, a unique NAD ID, etc., for NAD updation. Dr. M.R. Lakshiminarayanan, principal, presided over the programme. Dr. Arasuparameswaran, Director, Academic, offered his felicitation address. The members of NAD, Dr. N. Subalakshmi, Dr. K. Keerthana, Dr. S. Revathy, Mrs. S. Mohanapriya, Dr. S. Anidha, Dr. K. Vijayakumari, and Ms. P. Sri Renugadevi, also took part. Mrs. M. Rajapadmavathi, Member of NAD cell proposed the vote of thanks.
