Programme on women empowerment

       (மாற்றுத்திறனாளி மகளிருக்கான வாழ்வாதார மேம்பாட்டு நிகழ்வு)

On behalf of the National Service Scheme, in association with the Entrepreneurship Development Cell of Trinity College for Women, Namakkal conducted a programme on “Exhiliration for physically challenged women” on October 18, 2023, on the college campus. Mrs. S. Sumathi, 53/4, Trichy Main Road, Nilavarapatti, Gajjalnaickenpatti, Salem, was the beneficiary.

This event was held with the aim of improving the livelihood of a differently disabled person, Mrs. S. Sumathi, she stands on her own feet.  She is not dependent on others. In this programme, today, she sold the ballpoint pens (blue/black/red) to the students of the college at a reasonable price. She has proved that a disability is not a barrier to living.  

Mrs. S. Sumathi is greeted by Er. K. Nallusamy, Chairman; Er. S. Selvaraj, Secretary; Mrs. Aruna Selvaraj, Executive Director; Dr. M.R. Lakshiminarayanan, Principal; Dr. Arasuparameswaran, Director, Academic; and Mr. N.S. Senthilkumar, Administrative Officer.

This programme was arranged by the NSS Programme Officers Dr. M. Sasikala and Mrs. S. Jayamathi; the EDC Coordinator, Mrs. G. Nithya; and its members, Mrs. S. Bhuvaneswari (Computer Science), Dr. A. Latha (Tamil); Mrs. M. Rajapadmavathi (Commerce); Mrs. V. Indirakumari (Chemistry); Dr. S. Revathy (Mathematics); Dr. K. Keerthana (English); Ms. K.P. Theepika (CDF); and Ms. K. Saranya (Physics).
