Program on “Social Justice and Human Rights”
On behalf of the National Service Scheme, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal conducted an awareness program entitled “Social Justice and Human Rights” on January 30th, 2024. It was held in the premises of the community hall, Thottipatti village, Vallipuram via, Namakkal district. Mr. J. Karthik, Statistical Inspector, Human Rights, Namakkal, Mrs. R. Premavathi, Mrs. K. Matheswari, Sub Inspectors of Police, and Mrs. P. Selvamani, Grade 1 Police, Office of the Superintendent of Police, Namakkal were the special invitees.
Social justice is based on everything for everyone. People who are downtrodden in society should also get development and growth. Because of that, the Government of India and the Government of Tamil Nadu have given them various concessions and preferences. Human rights are civil, political, economic, social, and cultural rights, they said.
Also, they explained the origin and significance of human rights and outlined the activities of the Human Resource Commission in India.
Apart from that, on behalf of the department of police, Namakkal district humanity medals were given away to the following students of Trinity College for Women on that day.
