English Bridge Course
On behalf of the postgraduate and research department of English at Trinity College for Women, Namakkal conducted a 5-day bridge course for the benefit of first-year undergraduate students (who have been admitted during the academic year 2023-2024) from July 17, 2023 to July 21, 2023, in the College Trinity Auditorium.
Mrs. G. Kannagi, Assistant Professor and Head, Postgraduate Department of English, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal welcomed the gathering.
Mrs. Aruna Selvaraj, Executive Director of the College, inaugurated the bridge course. English is an international language. If we learn this language, we can go all over the world. On the assumption that we speak English to others, we can get more proficiency in the English language, she said.
Dr. M.R. Lakshiminarayanan, Principal, and Dr.Arasuparameswaran, Director, Academic, offered the felicitation address.
The faculty of English, Mrs. L. Deepika, Mrs. R. Priyadharshini, J. Evangelinin, Ms. M. Rekha, Mrs. M. Saranya, Mrs. K. Gowrimala, Ms. P. Abirami, Dr. K. Keerthana, and Mrs. S. Gayathri, handled various topics like effective communication, use of vocabulary, listening skills, speaking skills, reading skills, writing skills and the usage of idioms and phrases in the sentences.
Er. K. Nallusamy, Chairman, said in his special address that English is a global language. If you can write and speak the English language without error, you can achieve at the global level. At present, all the Android phone messages, the firm’s website, and email are available in the maximum language of English; you must concentrate to learn this language boldly, he denoted.
