Handloom Saree Exhibition cum sale
On behalf of Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Cell, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal conducted a one-day event on “Handloom Weavers – Livelihood Development Programme” on 15.10.2024. The main aim of the programme – “Let’s wear handloom cloth – save the handloom weavers”. To improve the livelihood of handloom weavers in the places of Thuraiyur, Thathiengarpet, Thottiyam, Musiri and Manamedu surrounding areas in Tiruchirappalli District, many students, faculty members and non-teaching staff members have enthusiastically purchased their handloom clothes for the upcoming Diwali Festival, which will be celebrated on 31st October 2024.
