Celebration of world soil day
Owing to the observation of World Soil Day (December 5, 2023), Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Cell, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, conducted an awareness programme on that day. Ms. T. Kasthuri, second-year M.A., Tamil, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, delivered the topic entitled “Soil Conservation and Water Conservation (மண் பாதுகாப்பு & நீர் பாதுகாப்பு), Ms. C. Selvamani, second-year M.A., Tamil, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, presented the topic titled “Save Soil, Save Livelihood.” (மண்ணை காப்போம் ….. வாழ்வாதாரத்தை காப்போம்)…..On account of the usage of fertilisers, chemicals, and pesticides in our cultivable land, the soil is barren. We have to switch over to organic farming. This organic farming gives us healthy food and a wealthy life, they highlighted.
