Industrial visit for students of chemistry
Six faculty members and 52 students of Chemistry at Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, visited the research institute of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (National Research Centre for Banana, Thogamalai Road, Thayanur, Trichirappalli) on August 30, 2023. Dr. C. Karpagam, Principal Scientist (Agri. Extension), and Mr. P. Ravichamy, a staff member of this organization, have explained the major thrust areas of banana research like crop improvement, crop production, post-harvest management, and crop protection. They have also seen the various laboratories like tissue culture, soil science, nutrient management, biotechnology, physiology, biochemistry, entomology, nematology, fungal, bacterial, and viral pathology, and post-harvest technology research.
The faculty members of Chemistry are Mrs. N. Thangamani, Dr. N. Santhi, Mrs. V. Indirakumari, and Dr. S. Anidha. Ms. M. Rineesha and the lab assistant, Mrs. G. Mahesh, were the caretakers.
This industrial visit was arranged by the management of Trinity College for Women, Namakkal. All the participants conveyed their greetings to the Chairman, Secretary, Executive Director, Principal, and Director Academic for the remittance of the processing fee regarding that industrial visit.
