            The Anti-Ragging and Sexual Harassment Cell, Trinity College for Women (Arts and Science) conducted an awareness programme on 05th November 2024 on the college campus.   Dr. A. Latha, Assistant Professor in Tamil & Coordinator, Quiz Club, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal spoke on the topic entitled “Social Media and Sexual Harassment – An Analysis”.

            Social media platforms have made women all on every side of the world more susceptible to technological crimes including morphing, phoney profiling and cyber bullying.    Social media have played a very dominant role for the past two decades in our society.    Most of us have touch screen android mobile phones.  We frequently use social media like Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, whatsapp, Twitter, etc., Social media gives us some positive messages. On another hand, it gives us negative information also.   Women should never post unnecessary images, news, information, etc., on social media, she pointed out.  

            Mrs. M. Malathi, Assistant Professor in Computer Science & Coordinator of Anti-Ragging and Sexual Harassment Cell made arrangements.    Nearly 70 students took part.
