Programme on “Information Technology – An outline” (For the sake of Arts Courses students)
The department of B.Sc., Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence and Data Science), Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, organised a computer science-related awareness programme on August 8, 2023. Mr. N.S. Senthilkumar, Assistant Professor in Computer Science, Trinity College for Women (Arts and Science), Namakkal, spoke on the topic of “Information Technology: An Outline.” This was held for the benefit of Arts stream students of our College.
He explained the usage of various hardware components of a computer, viz., the central processing unit, Memory, Storage Devices, input/output devices, and peripherals, as well as the software parts such as operating systems and applications. In addition, he has given a practical session and described the operation of computer parts like the motherboard, monitor, mouse, computer keyboard, hard disc, RAM, storage, graphics card, sound card, computer case, optical disc drive, microprocessor, power supply unit, control unit, network card, peripheral, solid state drive, and so on.
