Workshop on “Innovations in Screen Printing”
The Department of Costume Design and Fashion, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, conducted a one-day workshop entitled “Innovations in Screen Printing” on August 1, 2023. It was held on the premises of the CDF department. The main aim of this workshop is to train our students on printing methods that are commonly and frequently needed to market products. The programme commences with a welcome speech by Mrs. K. Punitha, AP and HOD of CDF.
Mrs. Aruna Selvaraj, Executive Director, presided over the programme.
Mr. M. Rajavel, Chairman and Trainer, Raja Screen Printers, Andipatti, Theni, was the resource person. He has conducted a hands-on workshop with the equipment. The process of screen printing helped the students create a printed design for their products on wood, metal, plastic, glass, paper, clothes, and so on. Our students, not only from the department of CDF but from other departments, enthusiastically took part.
Dr. M.R. Lakshiminarayanan, Principal, Dr. Arasuparameswaran, Director – Academic, The faculty of CDF Ms. K.P. Theepika, Mrs. A.P. Pavithra, Mrs. R. Shanmugapriya, the faculty of Nutrition and Dietetics Mrs. R. Rupa. Ms. P. Sri Renugadevi and Mrs. V.Sowmiya also took part in that workshop.
