2 day induction programme for students of Costume Design & Fashion and Nutrition & Dietetics
The Department of Costume Design & Fashion and Nutrition & Dietetics, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal jointly organized a two-day induction programme for the students of CDF and N & D on 13.07.2023 and 14.07.2023 in the college campus.
Mrs. Aruna Selvaraj, Executive Director of the College, presided over the programme. Dr. M.R. Lakshiminarayanan, Principal offered the felicitation address.
The connotations of the induction programme were communication game, future scopes and goals of the life, team building, leadership qualities, personality development, group activity (including dummy draping using waste patches, jewelry making from greens and vegetables) and etc.,
Er. K. Nallusamy, Chairman of the College, said, after the agriculture sector, a greater number of workers are in the textile sector in India. There are plenty of job opportunities available for the degree holders of costume design & fashion and nutrition & dietetics, especially for women. However, many of the students are not interested in pursuing these courses.
The faculty of Costume Design and Fashion Mrs. K. Punitha, Ms. K.P. Theepika, Mrs. A.P. Pavithra, Mrs. R. Shanmugapriya and the faculty of Nutrition and Dietetics Mrs. R. Rupa, Ms. P. Sri Renugadevi and Mrs. V. Sowmiya made arrangements. All the students of the above said courses enthusiastically took part.
