Programme on “An overview of English Literature”
The Department of English, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, organized a programme titled “An overview of English Literature” on 28th March 2025 in the Seminar Hall.
Mrs. R. Sathiya Priya, Assistant Professor and Head, Department of English, KSR College of Arts and Science for Women, Tiruchengode was the resource person.
She brought out various topics related to English literature, namely, the definition of English literature, the development of English literature, old English period, middle English period, modern English period, famous writers and their contemporary writers, renaissance and reformation, modernism and postmodernism.
Mrs. G. Kannagi, Assistant Professor and Head, Department of English, welcomed the gathering. Mrs. Aruna Selvaraj, Executive Director, presided over the programme. Dr. M.R. Lakshiminarayanan, Principal and Dr. Arasuparameswaran, Coordinator – Silver Jubilee Celebrations offered the felicitation address.
The resource person was introduced by Mrs. A. Revathi, Assistant Professor in English.
The faculty members of English, Mrs. L. Deepika, Ms. M. Rekha, Mrs. P. Abirami, Dr. K. Gowrimala, Ms. P. Kavya, Ms. M.V. Mekavarshini, Ms. P.L. Sonia and all the students of English took part.
