Mentors Training Programme – EDC
The micro, small and medium enterprises department and Entrepreneurship Development and Innovation Institute, Tamil Nadu, in association with the department of Industries and Commerce conducted a one day programme titled “Training of Trainers…..(TOT) for Mentors MSME Schemes 2024”. It was held on 16.12.2024 in the venue of KSR College of Technology, KSR Kalvi Nagar, Tiruchengode, Namakkal District.
Mr. C. Asokan, Credit Mentor, District Industries Centre, Collectorate Campus, Namakkal was the special guest. He explained why our country needs an entrepreneur, not an employee. He also gave an introduction to MSM Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and the government initiatives for the startup activities.
Also, he showed up the Tamil Nadu Business Facilities Act Rules (2017), its objectives, coverage & services, organization structure of District Industries centres, Administration set up of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Department, MSMED Act – 2006, classification of MSME’s, MSME Policy 2021, Commemorate of Industries and Commerce, etc.,
Dr. R. Gopalakrishnan, Principal, KSR College of Technology, Tiruchengode presided over the programme. Dr. N. Thiruvengadam, MSME – Coordinator of the College spoke about the various facilities availability for new young entrepreneurs and the role of financial institutions. Mr. G. Vasudevan, District Programme Manager, EDII – TN, Namakkal, highlighted the entrepreneurial activities of our country for the past two decades.
Training topics were MSME and EDII Schemes, IVP, Problem Solution Fit and Idea Generation.
On behalf of Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, Mrs. V. Indirakumari, Assistant Professor in Chemistry & Member – Entrepreneurship Development Cell participated in that programme.
