District Level Monitoring Committee Meeting of Tobacco Control
The District Tobacco Control Cell, Namakkal District organized a District Level Monitoring Committee Meeting on 06th July 2023 in the premises of the Collector’s Office, Namakkal. Dr. S. Uma, District Collector, Namakkal presided over the meeting.
She said that the current generations use tobacco products like beedi, cigarettes, gutka, etc. It causes heart attack, cancer, strokes, lung diseases and lung damage. We should take the evils of this to prevent generations. We received many complaints related to the use of drugs in Namakkal district. We have to prevent them, she pointed out.
